As always, the residents of both homes have been enjoying some fun times out and making the most of the lovely weather. They have enjoyed trips to local cafés, the seaside, the Van Gogh Experience in Brighton, the Sealife Centre, the beach, rides in monster trucks, visiting National Trust properties, walks around the local area, sailing, Chessington World of Adventures and lots more!
A visit from ‘Our Amazing Animal World’
Residents also enjoy visiting entertainment to their homes. Recently at Oakdown House they had a visit from ‘Our Amazing Animal World’ which is an animal sanctuary based in Sussex who bring along their animals for residents to stroke and cuddle.
We have plenty more fun to look forward to at both homes including a sports day in July… Oakdown v’s Carricks! The sports day will include games and races for all abilities and for staff too!
The swim spa has reopened at Oakdown so residents are loving this wonderful sensory experience again by immersing themselves in the warm bubbles.
